Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Hôtel Arnold is a simple country hotel in the village of Itterswiller, nestled on the hillside amongst the vineyards, a wonderful base from which to explore Alsace. The accommodation and restaurant are in three separate buildings. The color wash of these handsomely timbered buildings varies from soft yellow to burnt red, and all have windowboxes hanging heavy with a profusion of red geraniums. Most bedrooms are located in the main building, referred to as Hôtel Arnold, set just off the road on the edge of the village. All the guestrooms, which used to be simple in their decor, are beautifully decorated with Alsatian fabrics and carved furnishings. Most of the guestrooms enjoy their own deck and lovely, unobstructed views of the vineyards below. Completely renovated in 2005, there are also six very pretty rooms plus a top floor, three bedroom apartment in a delightful little home, La Reserve, next to Weinstube Arnold, the hotel’s restaurant. Weinstube Arnold, set under lovely old beams with pretty cloths and decorative flower arrangements adorning the tables, is an appealing place to dine on regional specialties and to sample the estate’s wines. Arnold’s also has a delightful gift shop.
