Karen's Review Of This Property:
An elegant manor house, Prior House is decorted in period style. Appearing somewhat out of nowhere, and certainly not for the faint of heart, is the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite, where the bathroom is the size of a ballroom and boasts crystal chandeliers, gold swan fixtures, and a large whirlpool tub surrounded by mirrors. The Windsor Suite occupies the entire top floor with fabulous views, a private sitting room with fireplace, and air jet massage tub in the bathroom. Arbutus has a beautiful antique, queen canopied-bed covered in a rich plaid of rose, sage, and gold. It has a fireplace, a pleasant sitting area, a wonderful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and a small bathroom with shower converted from a former closet. Two garden rooms with private entrances are enchanting. There’s The Hobbit Room for a cozy getaway, featuring a queen bed, gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, and shower. Alternatively, The Norfolk is a spacious two room suite with large sitting area, wood-burning fireplace, and wet bar/dining area. Inside the main house, all common rooms are splendid with their heavy oak paneling and antique furniture. Afternoon tea is set on the hall table for guests to enjoy beside the fire in the lounge. A beautiful, Italian chandelier graces the dining room, where six tables are handsomely set for breakfast.
