Karen's Review Of This Property:
Just where Robson Street descends seven blocks down to Denman Street and Vancouver’s West End, you’ll discover The Listel Hotel, a gem of a place priced well below the other nearby resort-type properties. The hotel claims to have good karma. Credit those feng shui thoughts to its family ownership, a kitchen in the center of the property and the passionate customer service. Consider this property an artist gallery with hotel rooms. Museum rooms are furnished from the collection of the University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology. King or queen beds have feathered duvets wrapped in soft fabrics. These rooms are designed with distinctive hemlock and cedar furniture, muted-colored walls reflecting Pacific Northwest forests. They are furnished with a chaise lounge and traditional cherry wood furnishings. All rooms feature: French press coffee and tea service delivered to rooms, pay-per-view television, iron and board, hair dryer, and radio alarm clock. Standard rooms on the second floor do not have original art. The Listel’s O’Doul’s Restaurant & Bar has been a 30-year Vancouver tradition. Not only does it serve one of the city’s heartier breakfasts, evening hours offer the sound of fine jazz or wine receptions; no cover charge. For those who need a work out, the hotel offers a fitness facility featuring a whirlpool, treadmill and universal gym. They also offer complimentary passes to a local 24-hour gym. Located on Robson Street.
