Karen's Review Of This Property:

Sunneschlössli, a lovely, newly-built chalet-style home, is nestled on a gentle, sunny hillside overlooking the Tannheimer Valley. It is picture perfect with its white stucco façade enhanced by balconies of carved wood, bright red geraniums, window boxes, and a jaunty fairytale tower topped a golden sun. Tucked off to one side is an adorable chapel, and in front is a pond dotted by floating water-lilies. The home is the creation of Fritz Rigoni and his childhood friends, Agathe and Schorsch Schatz who asked their architect to design a home large enough to accommodate both families along with their cherished antique furniture. The end result was a home so large that they decided to share it with others. From the owner’s quarters, a staircase leads up to seven huge suites, each with separate living room, bedroom, and kitchen. Throughout the home every inch of wall, shelves, tables and desks abound with artifacts from around the world. Each suite has a theme and is decorated accordingly with appropriate antiques and memorabilia. One of my favorites, the Nikolaus II suite, has a fabulous antique bed that once belonged to the ill-fated last Czar of Russia. The most invaluable asset of the Sunneschlössli is Fritz Rigoni, one of the most genuinely kind and cordial hosts you will ever meet. The hotel is an ideal location for excursions to King Ludwig's castles Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Hohenschwangau as well as Garmish-Partkenchrichen.
