Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Romantik Hotel Post began its history over 500 years ago as the Schloss Sprengenstein then later became an important post station. For over 100 years it has been a hotel owned for four generations by the Pfeifer family. From the moment you walk up a flight of stairs to the main lobby, the mood is of quality and refinement: tasteful antiques abound. Most of the furniture is of the Biedermeier period except for that in the cozy little dining rooms, which are decorated in country style with rustic wooden furniture and paneled walls. The formality also disappears completely as you enter onto a romantic, trellised veranda, laced with ivy and accented by boxes of brightly colored flowers, which wraps around the side of the hotel. Here meals are served looking over the expansive gardens, swimming pool, and town, and beyond to the mountains. Whether served on the veranda or in the main dining room, the food is delicious. Rooms are found off wide central hallways in the former castle and in a 1970s wing across the road, which also houses a large indoor swimming pool and health spa. Opt for the castle rooms with their wooden floors and traditional furnishings.

In the Romantik Hotel Post (Sprengenstein Castle, which dates from 1450), history and modernity combine in a unique way. Come and delight in Tyrolean hospitality and fine cuisine. Let us pamper you, enjoy the comfortable parlour, the old vaults, and the romantic veranda. Relax in the chlorine-free indoor pool in the spacious garden.
