Karen's Review Of This Property:

There are several advantages to staying at the Hotel Fischer am See: its proximity to Bavaria’s top sightseeing attractions, its peaceful location beside a mountain-ringed lake, and, last but not least, the two generations of the friendly Bunte family who own and run the hotel. Whether you opt for a massage, breakfast across the lake (summer only), an escorted hike, or a dinner of fish or steak fresh from the grill, you can be certain of meeting friendly family members. Of course, you can explore the beautiful area on your own, taking the hotel’s boat across the lake and walking home or driving your car to Ludwig’s castles and Oberammergau, the German town famous for its ornately painted houses. Accommodations vary from a lakeside camping ground through simple bedrooms furnished with pine beds topped with white duvets—all clean and fresh. Five “suites” are comprised of two rooms large enough to accommodate a family. I especially liked rooms 6 and 7, large double rooms that looked out to the lake.
