Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Hotel du Lac Seehof is in Küssnacht, a small town on Lake Lucerne and a stop for many of the steamers that ply the lake. The hotel is ideally situated directly on the waterfront where the boats dock and serves as a popular luncheon spot. The town of Küssnacht is bustling with tourists, but there is a feeling of tranquility in the oasis of the hotel’s terrace restaurant, which is very popular with day-trippers from Lucerne. The hotel has been in the Trutmann family for five generations and is now managed by Albert Trutmann and his attractive wife, Joan. Albert Trutmann lived in the United States for a number of years, speaks perfect English, and understands American tastes. Joan hails from Tahiti and has added her exotic island touch with the Blue Lagoon conservatory on the waterfront. In inclement weather guests dine inside in a series of attractive dining rooms. The food is excellent, with fish being featured on the menu. Upstairs, all the bedrooms, found off broad corridors, have simple decor and spotless shower rooms. Several have a traditional piece of furniture.
