Karen's Review Of This Property:

Dielsdorf is a small town north of Zürich, only about 20 minutes by car from the Zürich airport, or about 25 minutes from Zürich by train. The hotel is owned by Christa and Eugene Schäfer who also own the Rote Rose, a wonderful little inn only a few minutes away by car in the town of Regensberg. The Rote Rose is small, with only nine rooms, so it’s nice to have this as a second choice. The Hotel Löwen, built in the 13th century, has been completely renovated. The outside is painted white with small gables and shuttered windows enhancing the country appeal. Floral paintings by Lotte Günthardt, Christa’s mother, the world-renowned rose artist, adorn the walls throughout this small inn. The bedrooms are pleasantly decorated and the suite is an especially large, light, and airy room. If you are on a budget, a guestroom without a private bath is a good value. The most attractive feature of the hotel is the very cozy dining room where beamed ceilings, pretty linens, antique accents, and fresh-flower arrangements combine to create an inviting mood—and the food is excellent.

Directions: Just to the north of Zürich, take the Zürich/Affoltern/Regensdorf exit from the A1 then take the main road to Dielsdorf/Koblenz. The hotel is in the center of the village.
