Hotel Daniela

It is not surprising that the Hotel Daniela is so outstanding since the owners, Daniela and Paul Julen, are superb hoteliers who also own and manage the luxurious Julen, just a block away. The Daniela is within easy walking distance to all of the boutiques and restaurants within the village, yet pleasantly secluded from the bustling activity of the downtown area. Newly built in the traditional chalet style with wood façade accented by balconies, the hotel is immediately appealing. When you step inside, there is a charming ambiance of refined elegance. To the left is a pretty sitting area with a delightful bar tucked at the end of the room. A rich breakfast is served in an intimate dining room to the right. The guestrooms (most with balcony) share a similar décor— traditional with lovely fabrics, pretty furniture, and top quality amenities throughout. The double rooms face in the direction of the Matterhorn. Request a third floor room since these are high enough to look out over the rooftops and capture a view of the mountain. If you want to splurge, the suite is attractive with a fireplace for chilly winter evenings. The Hotel Daniela has a huge advantage in being a “sister” hotel of the deluxe Hotel Julen: you can enjoy a serene setting, and yet have access to all the outstanding facilities of the Julen, such as its fine dining and exquisite spa with stunning swimming pool.
