Karen's Review Of This Property:

The picture-perfect, chalet-style Hotel Bella Vista is a charming family-run hotel that really has it all: outstanding warmth of welcome; a delightful alpine ambiance; moderate rates; comfortable guestrooms; pretty country décor; wonderful home-cooking; and a 5-minute walk into the center of town. And, if this isn’t enough, its unobstructed views of the Matterhorn are as good as—or better than—any in Zermatt. If you are looking for sumptuous accommodations with a lavish spa, gourmet dining, and all the amenities of a world class resort, Zermatt has many of these. But, if a simple hotel appeals to you, you can do no better than the Bella Vista. The inn has been in the same family for two generations. It was built by the parents of Bernadette Götzenberger, who since 1978 has been running the hotel with her husband, Franz, a keen climber who will share tips on exploring the spectacular countryside, and, if his schedule permits, will pack his rucksack and be your guide. Each morning begins with a bountiful buffet breakfast with freshly-pressed orange juice, fifteen kinds of home-made jam, hot-from-the-oven brioche, and flaky butter croissants. A delicious supper, with a set menu, is available (for guests only) five nights a week. Local Valais wines, chosen from local vintners, are also available.
