Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Romantik Hotel Ticino is located right at the heart of the historic section of Lugano on one of its charming little piazzas. Tucked just off the cobbled street, the hotel’s entry is cozy and, just beyond, the inn opens up to an inner courtyard, which reflects the hotel’s past history as a convent. Upstairs is a quiet guest lounge where you can relax and enjoy an evening drink. Because this is a very old building, bedrooms tend to be on the small side. If you desire more space, ask for a junior suite. My favorite guestrooms are the newly renovated ones. These are very prettily decorated in pastel tones, and have the added bonus of air conditioning. Do not worry about street noise as rooms have double-paned windows and a great many have air conditioning. Just off the lobby is the hotel’s restaurant, one of Lugano’s most intimate and popular eating spots. As it is a favorite with locals, it is wise to make restaurant reservations when booking your room. The Hotel Ticino is a lovely, very old Tessin house that flourishes under the personal management and care of the gracious Buchmanns—a very special inn.
