Karen's Review Of This Property:
Although some tourists opt for a hotel with a lakefront setting, my heart remains with the Wilden Mann—an oasis of charm and hospitality snuggled in the ever-so-appealing medieval heart of Lucerne. Artistically arranged antiques of the finest quality are used throughout this delightful small hotel. The bedrooms too are beautifully decorated and each has its own personality. The ambiance is that of a private home rather than a large hotel. There are three dining rooms, each delightful in its own way. The Wilden Mann Stube is a non-smoking, French-style restaurant with rose tablecloths, candlelight, and, in cold weather, a cozy fire. This dining room has a special feature: on one of the walls there are three framed scenes depicting the Wilden Mann as it appeared in the mid-1800s. Upstairs there is another dining area—an outdoor garden terrace where tables are set for dining on warm summer days. However, my favorite place to dine is the Burgerstube, a charming, Swiss-country-style dining room with an ambiance of informality, warmth and wonderful wooden chairs—many of them antiques—set around the tables.
