A small road winds up the hill from Gstaad (an exceptionally picturesque small village) to the beautifully positioned Grand Chalet. There is a light and airy look, fresh and pretty, filled with charm. The walls are white, the beams and paneling of blond wood, the Alpine-style furniture upholstered with pretty, country fabric, and frilly white curtains peek from beneath blue draperies. The living room, bar, and dining room flow together into a spacious room highlighted by a superb, old-world fireplace that warms all the rooms. Large windows in the dining room look over a splendid vista of green valley and beyond to the soaring mountains. This same picture-perfect view is captured from the balconies of the deluxe guestrooms.
