You cannot help but fall in love with the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof. It is an outstanding, deluxe hotel with fantastic views of the mountains and radiating a nostalgic old-world charm. The exterior is exceptionally attractive: a large chalet-style building with dark wood siding prettily set off by bright red shutters, a series of peaked roofs, many balconies, white curtains peeking through casement windows, and boxes of colorful geraniums. When you step inside, a cheerful, home-like ambiance prevails with pastel colors, light wood paneling, fine fabrics, antique accents, a really cute bar, a tiny library, and wonderful little cozy nooks to settle down with a good book or chat with friends. There are two beautiful dining rooms; but in warm weather most guests choose to dine on the sunny terrace in front of the hotel. The guestrooms in the newer wing of the hotel are splendidly decorated. Those in the older part of the building are more dated but a renovation is planned to bring all up to the same standard. What makes the Schweizerhof so truly special is the genuine hospitality of everyone who works there. A high standard of kindliness is set by your gracious hosts, Anneliese and Otto Hauser, who greet everyone staying at the Schweizerhof like friends of the family. They are frequently seen in the dining room speaking personally to each guest.
