Karen's Review Of This Property:

Just a twenty minute drive from Seville in distance, yet a world away in atmosphere, lies the Hotel Cortijo Aguila Real, crowning the rise of a small hill. When the owner bought the property it had fallen into serious disrepair but he saw the great potential of this handsome, white farmhouse that had been the showplace of the whole region. In fact, the wealthy landowner who built the Cortijo owned all the surrounding countryside—even including the town of Guillena. In typical Andalusian style, you enter the property through a gate in the whitewashed walls into a large courtyard. Facing onto the courtyard is the family chapel, which is now used for special events such as weddings, as are a great many of the buildings that surround the courtyard. Guests have their private wing accessed from the courtyard where a door leads into a library with chairs facing the fireplace (early-morning coffee is available here), a spacious living room, and a dining room, El Águila, whose wall of windows gives distant views of the Seville skyline. The bedrooms open to a patio next to the gardens. Each of the bedrooms is named after a flower and all are most attractively decorated. In the gardens you find a swimming pool.
