Run of the River

A few miles beyond the charming Bavarian village is an even more fairy-tale place: a log cabin inn nestled amid pine and aspen trees against a rugged backdrop of mountains, and one hundred acres of wildlife refuge; whose beauty is enhanced by the sweeping path and mesmerizing sounds of the run of the river. Cozy and intimate, the décor plays on the theme of an alpine hideaway: rich brown, leather sofas and chairs; walls of exposed logs; rough hewn four-poster beds; river rock surrounding both the fireplaces and the Jacuzzi tubs; and folksy clusters of snowshoes, old weathered skis, bikes, birdhouses and country collections.
