The Swiss chalet-style main building was erected in 1898 by timber merchant Gabriel Block, for use as a summer residence. Kronen Gaard became known for its good food, hospitability and sociability. It was a meeting place for family and friends, and the warm and informal atmosphere of bygone days still pervades the premises.
Honesty is the best policy, is the philosophy of the kitchen at Kronen Gaard Hotel. Honest food is in focus, which means that the raw materials are obtained from local suppliers.
