Rabbit Hill Inn

Afternoon tea was being served as I arrived at Rabbit Hill Inn—just what I had been thinking I would like. This was just one example of the way the innkeepers and staff here seem to anticipate your every need—they have honed the art of personal service to absolute perfection, with many thoughtful touches like transforming your bedroom with candlelight and soft music when you return to it after dinner. There are nineteen rooms and suites with private bathrooms in two historic buildings—most have fireplaces and many have whirlpools tubs, but all are individual and special. I stayed on the second floor of the main building in the Canopy Chamber, a corner room with views of the White Mountains and the inn’s gardens. The queen bed was waiting to share with me a perfect night’s rest, the gas fireplace had a chaise lounge in front of it with pillows to make me comfortable, and on the bed was a note from the staff asking if there was anything else I might want. The room also had a desk, a Boston rocker, and access to a lovely porch. The inn’s dining room serves delectable, award-winning, multi-course dinners. Rabbit Hill’s 15 acres provide you with lawn games, a swimming pond, trails for hiking and skiing, fishing, and canoeing.
