Karen's Review Of This Property:

There are two things in Vermont that are just about perfect: one is the charming town of Dorset—quintessential New England—and the second is the hospitality of Linda and Jim, the owners and innkeepers of this wonderful property, Barrows House. This is a historic inn of nine buildings scattered about on eleven acres with exceptional gardens just a few blocks to the Dorset Playhouse. The inn has a swimming pool, tennis courts, lawn games, bicycles, cross-country ski equipment, and a sauna. Guestrooms are complete with every amenity. Halstead House, located up the hill in the woods, offers the most remote accommodation. The suite here has a small bedroom with a queen bed, handmade quilt, and braided rugs on the floor, and the bathroom features a two-person whirlpool tub. In the sitting room there’s a loveseat in front of the wood-burning fireplace, TV/VCR, small fridge, and a bar sink. There’s also a small patio for summer relaxation. The Stable Suite #2 in the old hay loft has wide floorboards, window seats in the bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room, cathedral ceilings, a gas fireplace, old barn beams, a king canopy bed, and a TV/VCR in the sitting room. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner every day. By the way, this is a great family inn where well-behaved guests of all ages are always welcome.
