Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Three Chimneys Inn, constructed in 1649 with an addition about a hundred years later, is perfectly located for those visiting the University of New Hampshire. Full of New England charm, beamed ceilings, dark and warmly inviting paneling, four-poster beds, and large armoires are found throughout and are just what you would expect in such a setting. Many of the beds have Edwardian drapes and a few rooms have spa tubs for two. Bedrooms have telephones, TVs, data ports, wireless internet, air conditioning, hairdryers, and makeup mirrors, some have working fireplaces, and Oriental carpets are used throughout. Breakfast is served in one of the two dining rooms to guests only, but lunch and dinner are available to the public as well. The frost Sawyer Tavern with its hand-hewn beams and granite walls surrounding the 1649 cooking-hearth fireplace is cozy and welcoming. Windsor chairs provide comfortable seating at tables in several adjoining dining rooms where wide floorboards add to the charm. There is a more formal dining room on the first floor, and in the summer the Conservatory Terrace provides outdoor dining. This inn has the facilities to host conferences and is popular for weddings.
