Karen's Review Of This Property:

As you are meandering along the coast of the “elbow” of Cape Cod, you find yourself enjoying the beauty and the scenery of Pleasant Bay. Here on a high hill overlooking the bay is “A Little Inn.” The history of the inn dates back to 1798 and some believe that it was a stop for slaves traveling along the “underground railroad.” The inn has nine beautifully appointed bedrooms. Four bedrooms are located in the Main House; three charming Bay rooms over look the garden with a view of the bay and the Carriage House has two lovely rooms with sitting areas. A European breakfast buffet is served overlooking the bay or garden. The inn has its own dock for those who wish to arrive by boat, swim or just sit and enjoy the sunrise. Next door to the inn is a cranberry bog, the scene of much activity as the berries ripen and are gathered for harvest. The quaint villages of Chatham and Orleans are close by with all their restaurants, shops, galleries, and activities. Nauset and Skaket beaches are within easy reach. There are also many scenic trails along the shoreline.

Just returned from another visit to "A Little Inn on Pleasant Bay" in South Orleans, MA. It was so delightful to stay there. Bernard is such a wonderful chef. His breakfasts were lovely. And Pamela had so many wonderful ideas for day and evening delights..............dinner, theater, museums, and little "treats" around the Cape. We definitely felt as though we were on "the inside track"...with ideas of places to go, with brochures and maps to get us to our destinations. I cannot say more. We are booked for 2008! Mary
