The Charles Street Inn is beautifully located on the flat of Beacon Hill, the historic district where colonial merchants first built their homes, within walking distance of all you may want to explore in downtown Boston. The inn’s guestrooms—two per floor—offer 21st-century comforts while retaining a 19th-century elegance. Each one is uniquely decorated in period colors, fabrics, and furnishings and named for a famous Boston Victorian. Front rooms with queen beds offer views of Charles Street, with its tempting restaurants and unique shops, while rooms at the back are larger and quieter, overlooking the very private area of Mount Vernon Square, and most feature king beds. Each room has a sitting area where you may enjoy your deluxe breakfast and relax in style. The rooms’ superb amenities include working marble fireplaces, air conditioning, extra-large whirlpool spa tubs, robes, slippers, in-room mini-fridge, coffee pots and tea kettles, complete set of dishes, wireless and high-speed internet access, cable TV, DVD, VCR, and Bose AM/FM/CD systems. Baths have granite counters, white tile finishes, and cherry-wood cabinets.
