Captain Jefferds Inn

This 1804 Federal-style mansion was originally built by Daniel Walker as a wedding present for his daughter, Sarah, and her husband, the seafaring Captain William Jefferds. In 1996, the Bartholomew family restored this home and created a 15-room inn that was purchased by Erik and Sarah Lindblom in April 2005. After searching for 25 years, the Lindbloms, knew they found their "perfect inn" the moment they stepped in the door. All the rooms and suites have been renovated with the discerning traveler in mind; while preserving the original splendor and architecture of the federal style home. In addition to private baths, the rooms have air conditioning, iPod docking stations, flat-screen televisions, feather beds with down-filled comforters. Some rooms have private porches, large showers, soaking tubs, or two-person whirlpool spas, and eight rooms have working fireplaces. Each afternoon guests are treated to a wonderful assortment of refreshments, which are served in the garden room. The inn is within a short walk of Kennebunkport with all its shops, restaurants, and historical sights, as well as the picturesque harbor and the activity of lobster boats.
