Karen's Review Of This Property:
France in the middle of northern Maine? You can be sure that an overnight at this charming inn and dinner in its restaurant will transport you to Provence without any need for a passport as you walk through its gates into a garden oasis. Inside the inn the warm provincial colors of red and yellow are predominant in the common rooms and the dining room and are reminiscent of the south of France. The two suites, Les Baux and St. Remy, are particularly spacious with cathedral ceilings and sitting rooms; each has a bath with a clawfoot tub and shower. From each of the suites and the three rooms, you can walk out to a large deck where you can spend hours looking at the gardens and the towering pines in the backyard. Breakfast can be served on this deck or in the garden. There are beds of herbs growing for the foods of the kitchen, and perennial gardens providing continuous bloom. The lush green of the lawns and the white wicker furniture beckon one to take a book and be lulled to sleep while taking in the natural beauty. In the living room, there is a fireplace where you can await your table in the restaurant and contemplate the enticing menu. There’s also a very attractive small bar which was stocked with every libation that your heart could desire.
