Manor House Inn

Nestled in the shade of the pretty trees that line historic West Street, the Manor House Inn is an attractive, mustard-yellow with green trim, three-story home with shuttered windows, steep pitches and angles to its roof, and lovely wide verandas. Built in 1887 as a lavish 22-room residence, Manor House has now been authentically restored to its original splendor and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grounds are lovely and the common room on the first floor with Victorian style furnishings is inviting. Guestrooms, all with private bathrooms, are found in the original Manor House, the two Garden Cottages, the original Chauffeur’s Cottage, and the Acadia Cottage, which was constructed in 2000 to provide an additional four luxurious rooms. Breakfast begins with freshly baked blueberry muffins and breads, fresh fruit, and cereals, followed by a hot dish such as ham-and-cheese baked omelet or baked blueberry-stuffed French toast. Manor House’s in-town location is only moments from the water and just a few more moments away from all of Bar Harbor’s restaurants and galleries. Access to Acadia National Park with its many attractions is less than a mile away.
