Karen's Review Of
Inn At Whitewing Farm:

The Inn at Whitewing Farm, spread over 43 pastoral acres in southern Chester County, is a delight in any season. It is close to many of the area’s attractions including the adjacent Longwood Gardens, the Winterthur Museum, and the Brandywine River Museum with its exhibits of the paintings of the Wyeth family. Whitewing, whose core is an 18th-century farmhouse, is actually a cluster of buildings in which there are seven bedrooms and three suites, all meticulously decorated rooms that provide a feeling of being an overnight guest at a friend’s horse farm in the picturesque countryside. The suites enjoy fireplaces and comfortable sitting areas. A new barn houses a common room on the second floor, a marvelously warm room with burgundy-painted walls, and a dining room on the first floor with individual tables set in front of a fireplace and windows looking out onto the landscape. The stables have been converted into bedrooms, which are smaller than some of the newer suites. One building has three bedrooms so that family or friends can be together. The inn serves a full breakfast—you’ll need it for all there is to do in the area and on the property where guests have the use of tennis courts, and a swimming pool.

This amazing inn sits on 50 lush and rolling acres in the beauteous Brandywine River Valley, the delightful hosts, Lance and Sandy Shortt purchased the inn 3 years ago and spent 2 years bringing it to a sparkling standard of impeccable service, hard to believe they have only been opened a year, they are BORN to this kind of customer and hospitality based world. Lovely amenities and a welcome that was both warm and fun. The 3 course breakfasts were fabulous, homemade wonders each morning. The r...
