Karen's Review Of This Property:
Inn at Turkey Hill
On the outskirts of Bloomsburg, the Inn at Turkey Hill is convenient to the interstate and yet miles away in terms of setting, mood, and ambiance. Once a working farm, the property’s 1839 white, two-story, brick farmhouse serves as the heart of the inn. Here you will find the reception and be introduced to the intimacy and feeling of tradition and family that dominates the ambiance of this lovely country inn. Off the reception are a cozy tavern and three dining rooms: the Stencil Room, the Mural Room, and the Greenhouse. The Greenhouse, a favorite with guests, is a glassed-in side porch overlooking the lush greenery of the garden, central pond, and gazebo. In the main farmhouse there are just two charming guestrooms, located at the top of a side stair above the reception. A newer wing of rooms stretches and steps down the length of the property and houses both standard rooms and suites. Appropriately adjacent to the farm’s dramatic red barn is the newest addition, The Stables, whose deluxe rooms are large, luxurious, and comfortably appointed. All guestrooms are very attractively furnished with reproduction pieces and are equipped with TVs, direct-dial phones, and high speed internet. One of my favorites is number 6 which enjoys both a gas fireplace and an in-room jacuzzi!
