Karen's Review Of
Oralee’s Golden Eagle Inn:
Oralee’s Golden Eagle Inn:
Places we recommend tend to project the personality of the people behind the business, and, here, because of Oralee, the Golden eagle is exceptional. We met her meticulously tending her side garden, a task she enjoys, taking advantage of a warm afternoon and a few quiet hours between lunch service and afternoon check-in. Oralee is impressive, and her love of this inn, that extends to embrace the town, is infectious. When asked how she came to own the inn, she admitted it was all by chance. She and her husband discovered Bedford when traveling the turnpike and stranded by a snow storm. They subsequently returned to relax in the village that had captured their hearts. Oralee’s husband is no longer involved, but she is ever present and her example sets the standard for her team. Bedford is best known for its neighboring Old Bedford Village— a recreated pioneer-type village with working craftspersons. Just down from the intersection of main street, the dark, green-painted, brick façade of the inn is easy to spot. Climb the steps to the entry and discover the attractive dining room. Guestrooms are located atop the main stairs, as well as off from the screened porches at the rear of the inn. I especially loved the three rooms (1, 2 and 3), furnished in lovely antiques, found in the main house on the first level.

I’ve recently returned from a stay at the Oralee’s Golden Eagle Inn and want to make sure you and everyone else knows how delighted I was with my visit. I would return in a heartbeat. The room was picture perfect, the staff ideal when it came to being helpful and friendly. Check in and out was flawless. The food at breakfast each day couldn’t be beat for the wonderful home made taste, quality and variety that was offered.
I’ve already told my friends what a wonderful B&B this is, and if ...
