Wooden Duck Sketch
Karen's Review Of
Wooden Duck:

Set on 10 acres and tucked off a country road that weaves through the lush landscape of a beautiful state park is a wonderful inn, the Wooden Duck. Modeled after an 18th century home, it was constructed in 1978 and guests will appreciate the luxury of all the modern appointments. Off the entry of the main home is a lovely dining room, which opens onto a side porch and overlooks the swimming pool. In the kitchen there is a coffee maker and a small refrigerator containing complimentary snacks and beverages. Step beyond the entry into two lovely common rooms with games, puzzles, and a complimentary video library with seating areas that face a two-sided fireplace. Two spacious, deluxe guestrooms, Harlequin and Golden-Eye, enjoying porches, two-person soaking tubs, separate showers, and gas fireplaces, are found off the game room. On the lower level are the semi-delux Bufflehead Room and the Scoter guest room.  Climb the entry stairs to three very attractive rooms; the Ruddy Duck, Mallard and the semi-deluxe Canvasback. Across the driveway in the carriage house are three more units, Old Squaw and Pintail, attractive loft units; and Wood, a special room with seated shower designed for guests with limited mobility. This is an exceptionally lovely country inn with gorgeous accommodation and attentive service.
