Historic Inns of Annapolis Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Spend the day exploring Annapolis’s cobbled streets that wind through this charming historic town. Then further enhance your stay by settling into an historic inn. Three of these comfortably restored houses that offer accommodations are referred to as the Historic Inns of Annapolis. Each of these inns has its own personality and is located in the heart of the city. Governor Calvert House (just opposite the State House) is used as the central welcome point. This is where you will check in (be sure to take a moment to view the replica of an old Roman heating system that was discovered during renovation and is now exposed and protected under a glass floor). This inn is host to many conferences and most of the guest rooms are first assigned to attendees, but it also has a loyal following of leisure guests as well. The Maryland Inn fans out from Church Circle and in addition to its guest rooms, is also home to the historic and very cozy Treaty of Paris Restaurant. For the most intimate stay request the Robert Johnson House. It is comprised of three neighboring, attached, private residences converted to offer accommodations. Guests enter off the street with their own key. One of the most popular rooms, the Peg B. Suite, is named for its gem of an innkeeper, Peg. Her warm smile, attention to detail, and sincere care for her guests sets an incredible example and inspiration for her staff. Peg sets a standard for inn-keeping that defies challenge.
