Hacienda Uayamón

The Hacienda Uayamón offers outstanding charm and ultimate luxury. This sumptuous hacienda has a wide, sweeping staircase leading up to a romantic veranda framed by high, open arches. Doors lead into several intimate parlors decorated with antiques, beyond which you find an enchanting dining room with large windows looking out to trees and a decorative round pond. Pathways lead from the main house through the jungle-like estate to the suites tucked about the property in brightly hued cottages. These at first appear to be basic, but looks deceive; inside, you find tasteful, appropriately simple furnishings of the finest quality. Excellent decor and quality can be found in many hotels but it is all the extra loving details that raise this hacienda to a whole new level of splendor—particularly the flowers, which decorate everything, from the bathroom toiletries, which are lavished with miniature flower designs, to the bathrobes, towels, and sheets. The bed linens appear to have delicate floral embroidery, but in fact these are fresh flowers. Other luxurious touches include an enormous, outdoor, king-sized sofa and a romantic plunge pool sprinkled with fragrant petals. There is also a gorgeous swimming pool tucked into the crumbling ruins of the old machine house. The best surprise of all comes with nightfall when all the paths are lined with what seem to be thousands of candles. Pure magic!
