Hotel Eco Paraiso Xixim

If you really want to discover a hideaway far off the beaten path and surrounded by remarkable natural beauty, then the Eco Paraiso Xixim makes an outstanding choice. The Eco Paraiso Xixim began as a dream to preserve a long stretch of unspoiled coastline and, to make this project financially feasible, an intimate, small hotel was built along 5 kilometers of virgin beach, with 15 rooms in thatched-roof cottages tucked in amongst the sand dunes overlooking the sea. Each cottage mimics the simple style of homes built by the Mayans for over 1,000 years, but inside the similarity ends. All the delightfully spacious bedrooms are nicely decorated and extremely comfortable with two queen-sized beds, a sofa, and a desk; and in front there is a large covered porch. All the cottages have the same configuration and décor and all face the sea, but by far the best views are in 2, 4, 6, or 8. Breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate and served in an attractive dining room with a terrace overlooking the water. Activities here include excursions to visit the spectacular flocks of brilliant pink flamingos who come to feed in the nearby lagoon, kayaking, hiking, observing the sea turtles in season, fishing, and swimming in the ocean or the hotel’s pool.
