Four Seasons

The luxurious Four Seasons is larger than hotels we normally feature, but there is no way we could possibly not share this gem with you. Although it has many guestrooms, the ambiance is one of a small, intimate, boutique hotel. We love it! Don’t expect to drop by to “take a look”—security is absolute. You must have a reservation to be admitted through the front gates. This is to protect the privacy of the guests, many of whom are very high-profile. However, the joy is that, once you enter the property and drive through the spectacular manicured grounds, you receive such a warm reception that it would seem you are in a small, family-run hotel. You feel the mood of refined luxury, ultimate quality, and superb décor as soon as you enter. The reception area extends on to become a beautiful lounge with a peaked palapa-style ceiling and a color scheme of creamy beiges and whites accented by a few well-placed sculptures and splendid bouquets of fresh flowers. The guestrooms continue the same degree of quality and refinement. However, my absolute favorites are the rooms in small cottages right on a tiny, palm-studded beach with a crescent of sand just outside your door. Sports are a big deal here, with world-class golf courses, tennis, and all water sports instantly available.
