Karen's Review Of This Property:

The lavish, Moroccan-style Casa Velas is located within Marina Vallarta, a beautiful Marina development close to the airport. Though it primarily appeals to those looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, just minutes away are Puerto Vallarta’s wonderful restaurants and nightlife. An 18-hole golf course drapes itself around the hotel, providing privacy and solitude. The hotel’s enclosed lobby features tropical plants and pleasant seating arrangements, and adjoining it in the rear is a sitting area—the lobby bar, overlooking the swimming pool. The pool area is the highlight of the hotel: it is surrounded by lush gardens and tall, majestic palms and is set with very comfortable lounge chairs and white-canopied tents that offer shade from the tropical sun. Next to the pool is the gourmet restaurant El Candil, which serves wonderful blends of Mexican and international cuisine. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with separate sitting areas and in some cases terrace Jacuzzis. Amenities include a gymnasium, tennis courts, and jogging and biking trails; while the marina nearby is great for walking, admiring boats from around the world, and enjoying the shops, cafés, and restaurants.
