Karen's Review Of This Property:
Las Hadas hotel in Manzanillo, the dream of Bolivian billionaire tycoon Antenor Patiño, is world renowned, but only a lucky few know that Patiño’s granddaughter, Isabel Goldsmith, created her own jewel, Las Alamandas, a charming hotel located to the north along the gorgeous Costa Alegre. Her hotel offers the ultimate in accommodations, yet exudes a natural, understated elegance. There are no signs along the road to identify Las Alamandas: absolutely no hints that a paradise exists at the end of the narrow road through the jungle. This is not an oversight. Guests who arrive (many by private plane onto the hotel’s own landing strip) cherish their privacy and Las Alamandas has become a favorite hideaway for many celebrities seeking seclusion. A beautiful beach, bound by a lush lawn studded with coconut palms, stretches in front of the hotel. There are only fourteen suites within six villas. No matter whether you have the Presidential Suite or one of the Garden View rooms, you will be pampered by the staff who seem to take great pleasure in catering to your every need. Nothing you want seems to be too much trouble, whether it be a romantic lunch served on a secluded beach or a special request for dinner. The resort is surrounded by 1,500 acres of ecological reserve with pristine beaches, exotic trees, hidden lagoons, and a myriad collection of birds.
