Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Villa Jacaranda, built within a Colonial mansion just steps from the Parque Benito Juárez, is located within easy walking distance of the central square of San Miguel de Allende. In fact, from its entrance you can gaze down the cobbled lane and see the spires of the cathedral, a prominent landmark that leads you to the colorful heart of what is one of our favorite Colonial towns. The entrance to the hotel is nondescript—just a recessed arched doorway encased by adobe bricks framing thick antique doors that blend in seamlessly with the other houses on the street. Except for the discreet sign, you would hardly know a hotel existed inside. This is a small hotel with only 19 individually decorated guestrooms. By far the nicest accommodations are the suites, some with their own private patio with tables and chairs for relaxing. Some of the suites have a fireplace, which is a welcome bonus on chilly winter evenings. After a day of sightseeing, guests congregate at the Sunset Bar where they can enjoy a drink and a dip in the hotel’s Jacuzzi. The Villa Jacaranda’s restaurant has won various awards and is considered by many to be one of the best in town. It has a rather formal decor that sets the mood for fine dining. The hotel caters to American guests and frequently shows English-language movies in the evening. The price of admission is a drink! A wonderful breakfast is included.
