Cabo Surf Hotel

Stretched along the splendid coast between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas there is a breathtaking choice of sumptuous hotels, most of which are very, very expensive. However, there is one remarkable exception: the Cabo Surf, which is not only well priced, but also has a fantastic location. This was previously a private home, which perhaps accounts for its privileged position on the bluff overlooking Acapulquito, a world-class surfing beach. The original house, an attractive white-stucco building, has a reception area, a small parlor, and a large open lounge extending out to a spacious terrace restaurant-bar partially covered with a thatched roofed. Here guests sip a cool drink or dine to the sound of the surf while enjoying an incredible view of the sea. In this main building you find two very spacious guestrooms with great balconies and lovely views. The other guestrooms are located in an adjacent, two-story wing. Those on the top floor have the choice views, my favorites being rooms 3 and 4. Tall palms dot the grounds and nestled on a terrace is an idyllic swimming pool with an infinity edge creating the illusion that the water blends into the sea. Lounge chairs dot the lawn around the pool where you can relax and watch some of the finest surfers in the world. NOTE: this hotel has been remodeled since our last visit.
