Hotel Villa Franceschi

The sister hotel to the Villa Margherita, the Villa Franceschi, just a short distance down the road, is a classic venetian villa facing out to the Brenta canal. As with many of the 16th-century summer retreats of the Venetians, the pristine villa has a double façade to the front and to the back gardens dotted with statues. Elegant rooms are divided between the historic villa holding eight sumptuous corner suites and the adjacent “Barchessa”, a building originally used for the servants’ quarters and land maintenance. Located here are the main beamed reception area, ground floor rooms with direct garden access, plus remaining rooms on the two upper floors. “La Veranda” dining room is within this building, a sun-drenched airy room with large windows on two sides looking out to the back gardens where an ample buffet breakfast is also served. The more rustic Barchesssa guestrooms, mostly suites and junior suites with many amenities, tend to be spacious with a classic and more simple décor than the villa, and color combinations varying from blue and gold to yellow and burgundy. The cordial and highly professional Dal Corso family invites guests to dine in their separate restaurant just down the road. From this comfortable base, the Brenta and Palladian villas can be easily reached, among many other highlights.
