Le Torri di Bagnara

My spouse and I stayed at this property in early September. Our experience has been wonderful. The Umbrian countryside is fantastic and from the elevated site of the medieval historical residences setting, we enjoyed stunning views across the valleys to the surrounding towns and fields. The whole property (the Abbey and the Tower) has been tastefully restored, with great attention to detail by its owner evident at every turn. The rooms were always charmingly furnished, very clean and comfortable as any five-star hotel; the salt water pool, on a hillside, overlooking a valley and surrounded by flowers, bushes and herb plants, was amazing. Each morning began with a very rich buffet breakfast with everything fresh: eggs, fresh pastries, home-baked pies and bread, hand-carved ham, cereals, juices and many other things. Nothing could compete with the Umbrian cuisine served at dinner, though. The standard of service and quality of the food was in my opinion one of the best we have experienced in Italy, my wife and I being fond of local specialities like “Chianina” veal (the local breed) and the home-produced olive oil. The owner, hotel staff and cleaning staff were excellent, very helpful and welcoming; always ready to make sure all our requests were attended to; even Silvester the cat was lovely to us.
