Relais dei Magi

Just on the border between Umbria and Tuscany and conveniently close to the walled town of Citta della Pieve, the Relais dei Magi is an excellent choice for accommodations in this enchanting part of Italy. A quiet, tree-lined lane leads up to the handsome 18th-century yellow villa with symmetrical windows accented by green shutters and roof adorned by rustic tile. The setting is utterly tranquil, with idyllic views in every direction—over 160 acres of woodlands, olive groves, and meadows stretch out as far as the eye can see. To the right of the villa, perfectly positioned to capture the view, is a stunning swimming pool romantically nestled on a grassy terrace amongst beds of flowers and towering cypresses. In the villa there are five deluxe suites, two with stunning view terraces and all with fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. Also in the villa are comfortable lounges and a beautiful dining room where a set-menu dinner is offered. A homelike ambiance prevails, with comfortable yet decorator-perfect furnishings throughout. Additional suites are found in a wing of rooms near the pool, while for longer stays or for families/friends there are apartments for two to six persons with kitchens complete with dishwashers and every modern amenity. Spa facilities include a fitness center, sauna, Turkish bath, and small heated pool.
