Castello di Casigliano Country Inn

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this country inn and it was just as wonderful the second time around! We spent five nights in October here, using this as our base for day trips. Our apartment was wonderful and the breakfasts included in the price were lovely. The stone apartments in the small walled village are charming and cozy, rustic, yet with modern touches like hairdryers. The setting, in the hills of Umbria, is lovely and peaceful, yet close to Todi and other nearby attractions like Orvieto. There is also a lovely restaurant on the grounds, with a patio overlooking the hills of Umbria, where breakfast is served and also dinner. We are returning with friends in May - it will be our third stay at Castello di Casigliano!
