La Casa del Garbo
La Casa del Garbo is a fascinating blend of two styles of accommodation: the quality and tasteful décor of a deluxe hotel along with the warmth and charm of a bed & breakfast. This beautifully-decorated, family-owned property is in the heart of Florence, right on the spectacular Piazza Signoria. You have to look carefully to find the discreet entrance—just a small brass sign lets you know you have found the right spot. Ring the bell to announce your arrival. Once inside a nicely decorated hallway leads to a flight of stairs going up to the reception area, which is open daily from 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. Since there is no elevator in this historic 16th-century building, leave your luggage in the lower hallway and someone will pick it up for you. After being shown to your room, you are given a key to your door and another to the front entry door. From that moment on you will feel like a privileged guest in a romantic private home in Florence. You have a choice of two types of accommodation. There are four double bedrooms that include daily breakfast plus five spacious suites that accommodate from two to four guests. Since all the suites have kitchen facilities, breakfast is not included in the suite price. Everyone at La Casa del Garbo seems to have a goal to make your stay unforgettable.
