Castelir Suite Hotel

Castelir Suite Hotel, Panchià, Trentino, Italy After several years of traveling in winter time to lovely Val di Fiemme in Northern Italy to go skiing and also to participate in the legendary skiing race Marcialonga (Nordic Ski), we chose in 2009 to visit the area in late summer. A choice we were far from regretting. Who we are? We are a group of friends from the northern part of Norway, between the ages of 45 to 55 years, who love travels, experiences, good food and wine, and sports. We have taken part in several sporting events in France and Italy, both skiing and running, and we value good accommodation when traveling. Food, wine and leading the good life are important elements in our travels. Via www.visitfiemme.it we were given information about current accommodation in Val di Fiemme, and after several requests our choice became Castelir Suite Hotel in the small town of Panchià, situated between Cavalese and Predazzo. This turned out to be a great success. Castelir is a small, but exclusive hotel. There are seven rooms – all of them suites in different sizes. The hosts, Graziella and Rolando Delugan, own and run the hotel. They receive their guests in a way that makes everyone feel very much welcome. The hotel is in a new building, and it was opened in 2007. The building is made of ecological and exclusive materials and furniture which makes the hotel an exclusive choice. Graziella makes all the food herself, something which adds relish to the stay. This lady really knows how to cook! At the beginning of September we were 17 people renting the whole hotel a short week, and every one of us were much contented with our stay. Graziella and Rolando were at our service almost at all hours. They made us food and brought us excellent wine, and if we were in need of transport, they drove us to where we wanted. They also lent us bicycles, served us by the pool, and heated the sauna and the Turkish Bath for us. What’s more, they brought us to a small family- owned mountain inn, so that we could get a taste of the local food and beverages. In addition, they made a feast and ordered tables at restaurants and other places for us. The service was irreproachable. Castelir is simply a small pearl in a fantastic and beautiful area both summer and winter. We would perhaps prefer staying there when it’s summer, even if winter is the main tourist season in the area with people running slalom most of the time. You can also do a lot of things there in summer. There are countless marked tracks in the mountains, from the easy ones to the more advanced tracks. For those who want to spend time on a bicycle, or maybe just have a relaxing time by the pool, is the area perfect for that, too. Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa, Trentino and the Dolomites are fantastic areas, and The Castelir Suite Hotel, situated in the midst of it all, really dots the -i. We became so enthusiastic over this place that we have ordered two new stays, both in January and in September 2010.
