Hotel Uhrerhof

The Uhrerhof is a very special haven. It is set in the village of Bulla high above Ortisei, and is now easily reached by a new road and tunnel. The Zemmer family have done a remarkable job of combining old and new in their hotel, which just exudes warmth and welcome. Spacious antique-filled common rooms with fireplaces or stuben burners are strewn about the first floor, many opening out to terraces taking in the glorious mountaintop views. Dunia warmly welcomes guests to the family hotel and is always on hand to share her extensive local knowledge. Father Walter treats guests to one of his divine five-course meals, which include fresh vegetables and salads from the garden and wonderful homemade pasta. The typical stuben dining rooms are thoughtfully divided between families and couples in consideration of noise level. Spacious bedrooms and suites, many with balconies for the uplifting views, are  traditionally appointed in light pinewood with white comforters. A beautiful mosaic-tiled wellness center below includes everything: bio-sauna, whirlpool, Turkish bath, and other special treatments. Mother Lotti has created a stunning rose garden. In the beautifully landscaped gardens guests can linger among 5000 choice roses. This place is all about serenity, slowing down, and pampering of the body and soul.
