The warmth of welcome at the Hotel Oberwirt is incredible. The entire staff set new standards for the meaning of graciousness—they pamper guests like long-lost friends. And, as for the owner, Josef Waldner, he is without a doubt one of the most charming hosts in the world. He is never “behind the scene” but rather in evidence from morning to night, chatting with his guests and overseeing that every detail of the hotel is faultless. But, it is not only hospitality that makes the Romantik Hotel Oberwirt so remarkable. Everything about the hotel is perfect: it is located in a pretty little village; the décor is outstanding; the amenities are positively highest quality, the bedrooms are beautiful, the swimming pool lovely, and the spa and indoor pool quite wonderful. It is amazing to realize that the hotel dates back to the 16th century and has been in the Waldner family since 1749. In addition to the hotel, the family owns apple orchards and breeds magnificent Haflingers, some of the most beautiful horses in the world with their golden color set off by glorious creamy mane. Although the hotel rings of elegance and sophistication, there is nothing stuffy or ostentatious. Quite the opposite. There is a home-like charm throughout. You cannot help but fall in love with this superb hotel.

Marling is situated on a southwestern hillside overlooking the town Meran (3km), world-famous spa, the pearl of South Tirol. The Romantik Hotel Oberwirt, a 15th century country inn, was converted into a Romantik Hotel and Restaurant with great love for detail. Deluxe rooms, suites, gourmet restaurant, Tyrolean lounges, guest gardens, outdoor and indoor pool, wellness residence Amadea and plenty more.
