The Biohotel Hermitage is truly a gem—a beautiful chalet-style inn with an incredible mountain setting. It is located on the outskirts of Madonna di Campiglio, a popular resort that bustles with activity both in summer and winter. To reach the hotel, you pass through Madonna di Campiglio and continue beyond the lake to a secluded paradise where the hotel nestles on a wooded plateau overlooking an astounding, unobstructed view of the Dolomites that rise in jagged granite peaks just across the valley. One rarely finds such pristine beauty. Adding perfection to the scene is the Maffei family who has showered their guests with hospitality for over a hundred years. Your current hosts, Barbara and Marcella, along with their parents, Edda and Giacomino Maffei, and their dog, Luce, continue the tradition of cordiality, hospitality, and love of nature that was handed down to them from their grandparents. Although the hotel has grown over the years and exudes a sophisticated elegance, it still maintains a splendid, inviting, country ambiance. The interior of the hotel is as attractive as the exterior with cozy wood paneled rooms, cute wood alpine chairs with carved hearts, pretty country fabrics, and porcelain tile fireplaces. Charm, country-cozy décor, and quality are obvious throughout. In winter there is a shuttle to take guest to the slopes.
