Locanda Don Serafino

Coming from a generations-old tradition in the restaurant business, it was only natural that brothers Antonio and Giuseppe open a hotel for their loyal clients within the fascinating historic Baroque centre of Ragusa (called Ibla). Their Locanda Don Serafino is located on a narrow stone street of this Unesco World Heritage site. You enter into an intimate reception with a lounge to one side and a breakfast/bar room to the other. White sofas and white bedspreads fit in well with wood floors, armoires and stone walls, purposely giving guestrooms a look in tune with the house, All have modern blue bathrooms and are scattered on different levels of the house, several with an independent entrance directly from the street. Five larger doubles have features such as a luminous corner bedroom or a turquoise-tiled tub set back under a stone arch. Within easy walking distance is their refined gourmet restaurant with the same name, an award-winning establishment within an ancient stone building originally the horse stables of the adjoining palazzo. The enoteca has an impressive wine list with over 700 prestigious labels. Their second restaurant is open only during the summer at the hotel’s private beach at Marina di Ragusa.
