Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi

The hamlet of Borgo Seghetti, a short distance from the stunning historic city of Ascoli Piceno, dates back to the 17th century and consists of an imposing brick fortress residence, chapel and several surrounding buildings. The Princess Pignatelli Aragona and her gracious daughter, Stefania, have restored the family’s summer property in order to accommodate guests in the six luxurious suites within the main villa or in the five newly-created apartments in the nearby Residenza San Pancrazio. Rooms in the villa are richly appointed with period antiques, paintings and pieces from the family’s world travels—as evident in the oriental themed bedroom. The villa includes a series of refined sitting rooms, a library, a billiard room, a dining room (for specially requested meals) and a brick-vaulted kitchen that is original to the house. The spacious apartments for 2 to 4 guests maintain a refined country ambiance with spacious living area and kitchenettes.  An historic botanic garden with rare and exotic plants is recognized as Europe’s first bio-energetic garden. Special arrangements can be made at the Borgo Storico for cooking lessons, visits to other historic homes, (part of the Secret Marches group), and gastronomic tours.  For rest and relaxation after a day visiting the treasures of this remarkable region, there is a swimming pool, sauna and massage service.  Breakfast or aperitifs are served under the grape pergola with products from the property’s farm.
