Hotel Villa del Parco

Beyond the city gates of Porta Pia, whose ancient walls lead from the Via Veneto, is tranquil, tree-lined Via Nomentana, once a luxurious residential street. Many elegant pastel-colored villas remain (including the last residence of Mussolini), but most have been converted into embassy-owned apartments over the years, while in 1956 the Villa del Parco was transformed into a lovely, quiet hotel with a bed-and-breakfast feel to it. A flower-edged driveway leads to the villa, passing by tables set up for breakfast in the small front garden. When you enter the pleasant lobby scattered with antiques and comfy sofas, you feel that you’ve arrived home. An inviting bar and breakfast room invite guests to relax and plan the days activities with the assistance of the friendly staff. All of the 30 comfortable guestrooms including bathrooms, have been renovated and vary greatly in size and decor, appointed in a classic style. The Bernardini family are on hand and are happy to make restaurant and itinerary arrangements. Special features are an elevator, central air, and five nice new bedrooms on the top floor with beamed mansard ceilings. Drinks and snacks are available round the clock.
