Punta Regina

A wonderful newcomer on the Amalfi Coast is the super-serviced and romantic Punta Regina hotel, located in the heart of Positano with terraces and views that make it difficult to leave this romantic spot. The current owners, the Russo family, had the four-story white palazzo totally refurbished, incorporating many amenities. It is obvious that they had two specific goals foremost in mind: guests’ comfort and accessibility to the fabulous coastal views on every possible occasion. The 18 generously proportioned bedrooms are primarily junior suites and larger suites, some having gorgeous terraces larger than the room itself, with Jacuzzis hidden among lush Mediterranean gardens. Elegantly appointed bedrooms in soft-peach or olive tones have antique furnishings, rich fabrics, and luxurious marble and tiled bathrooms, all using the best-quality local materials and craftsmen available. The rooftop has a relaxing pool with beautiful views of Positano, the Mediterranean sea and Li Galli Island. There also is a gazebo where breakfast is served if not in the guestrooms—on terraces, of course! It is an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach where the ferry for Capri departs.
